Style in the City – I’m in love with the shape of you!

As brand ambassadors for Home Tiles we are delighted to announce that the headline news from The Surface Design Show in Islington is that tiles are making a huge comeback!!

It is easy to get complacent when you regularly attend design events, however we are super excited about the choice and ranges of new tiles on the market which are definitely going to be a game changer for interior spaces moving forward.

There is a noticeable shift in design for 2019. The last few years have seen interiors that are contemporary, grey and what now seems a little clinical and bland. The trend we are seeing emerging in a big way is tiles taking centre stage and bringing a whole new dimension to an interior scheme.

When it comes to ‘Style in the City’, the key word is SHAPES!!!

For this month’s blog we thought we’d share with you, our favourite finds…

If a statement is what you want then a statement is what you are going to get. These stunning Scallop shaped tiles in a beautiful emerald or a strong navy colour will create a perfect feature in a bathroom.

These gorgeous beauties stopped us dead in our tracks. They are bang on trend. Hexagonal shaped with a striking pattern to boot. The Encaustic Lily Pad tiles would create an amazing feature when used as a kitchen splashback.

Metallics have been around for a while now but these tiles bring another dimension to the game. A 3-dimensional effect. This rich bronze colourway will add huge impact to a scheme. We love the way they have been laid with the edge detail from top to bottom in one row and side to side in the next, creating an arty look. These would look amazing as a feature installation in a living room.

One of our absolute favourites and probably the most unique tiles we’ve seen so far are a combination of two of our favourite features. A perfect coupling of 3D tiles in a chevron shape. With a delicious colour palette of soft pastels, what is not to love about these.
